My Mom has to detox from alcohol. We all know it will not be easy. But i’d like to know what to expect. What happens during alcohol detox?

72 hours after her last drink she could also experience hallucinations, fever and even seizures. If I were you, I would suggest she get some professional help to help elevate some of the symptoms

It sounds like your Mom has made the right choice. 8 hours after her last drink she will probably become anxious and nauseous with abdominal pain. She could also become confused. It’s best you and your family support her in this, she will need you.
