Alcohol has been my best friend and my worst enemy but I know the time has come that I have to give it up. My wife and children simply won’t give me any more chances so I have to do my best. What is giving up going to feel like?

It’s going to feel worse before it gets better but that’s life. You’ll have emotional and physical symptoms, you might hallucinate, you’ll have headaches and stomach aches and you’ll feel all trembly. Your blood pressure can spike and you really need to be looked after 24 hours a day for a bit.
