What are symptoms of withdrawal?

I’m worried about my wife. She has been very sick for a few days and there doesn’t seem to be any reason for it. She told me that she knows she is fine and to just let her be for a few days. I am worried because I think she may be detoxing from opiates, but I’m not sure. We had a discussion last week that she was using the meds way more than the amount the doctor prescribed. What are the symptoms she would be experiencing if she were detoxing from opiates? I want to support her through the process as much as I can.

It is sometimes forgotten that Opiates are designed to numb pain. As the body flushes them out, the pain that she hasn’t been feeling will suddenly start throbbing. She will be emotional, lethargy, and nauseous for the first few days of her detox.

As the opiates leave her body, your wife will start to feel aches and pains in her joints and muscles. She may become shaky. Her stomach will feel nauseous and her head may throb. She needs to drink plenty of liquids and sleep as much as she can.

Detox is horrible, especially if on the opiates for years....It is just about impossible to sleep....I say continue on the opiates, because if You have chronic high pain, the pain will "definitely" come back....
