What are signs of withdrawal from pain pills?

My wife had surgery a few months ago and claims she stopped taking pain pills a few weeks ago. I noticed that she acts off on the weekends and then suddenly falls asleep in the afternoons for no reason at all. Could this be a sign that she is still using the drugs and are there any other withdrawal symptoms I can look for to know if she has a drug addiction to the pills.

When someone withdraws from pain pills, they often get very nauseous, have a slight temperature, have a horrible attitude, and lose weight initially.
