I stopped taking Xanax about a week ago and now I feel horrible. What are the withdrawal symptoms and are they dangerous?

In addition to feeling sick all over and having heart rate problems and possible seizures, women sometimes get extra long or heavy periods for quite awhile after stopping Xanax. I always think it is best to have a medical person help you detox. Some people do it on their own, but it can dangerous.
