Is imodium good for opiate withdrawal?

My friends brother is trying to get off opiates and thinks imodium helps because it’s an opiate, i’ve never heard of this, does anyone know if imodium if good for withdraw?

I really feel like that is a bad idea, never know what kind of complications can occur. I’m sure if he talked to a doctor they have things that can help him get off opiates for good.
