How soon does alcohol withdrawal start?

I’ve officially decided to stop drinking, but I’ve been a regular drinker for like 4 years. Okay, so I drink with every meal—even breakfast. I feel sick when I run out, but it stops as soon as I chug something strong. Is that withdrawals? How soon do they start?

Yes, withdrawals can start only a few hours after your last drink. It sounds like your body is pretty used to the booze. If you want to stop, you should get some help from a doctor.
