I’m going with my girlfriend to support her at her first aa meeting, but I really want to watch the game after. How long do these things last?

An aa meeting can last an hour or so, but if it’s her first be prepared to give her a half hour or so after the meeting to meet people, get some much needed support hugs and phone number for continued support and other group info

Be patient it could take a couple of hours, but if you’ve gone there to help her follow through making sure your head is with her. She needs your help and support more than you need to watch the game. Record it and watch it once you get home
