  5. How long does suboxone withdrawals last?
Asked: 2018-07-15 01:12:09
I screwed up and tested dirty for cocaine while on a Suboxone program. Now they’re worried that I’m abusing the Suboxone and I’m scared that they’re going to withhold my prescription until I go back through inpatient rehab. How long will I be dope sick after I stop the Suboxone?

It depends on the type of program that you’re on. Some give you a daily dosage, but if you have a prescription then they have to be suspicious. Most of the time they know that is a part of the process. Since it wasn’t a relapse for opioids, they may let you keep taking your medication. If not, the worst of the withdrawals will be at the three-day mark, and then you’ll feel better after about a week. I’m really not sure how that works

If you’re using again then rehab is probably a good idea. You may be able to keep taking the Suboxone and as long as you admit to frequent drug tests and you’re willing to be completely truthful with them about the kind of things that you’re doing. It’s really up to the doctor in the type of relationship that you have with them. If you are done with the Suboxone, then your withdrawals are probably going to last about two weeks.
