Im new to recovery and deal with pain that is chronic... the doctor gave me tramadol, dont know if I should take it, how addictive is tramadol anyway?

Is it really worth jeopardizing your newly attained recovery? Tramadol is addictive is some aspects... it is not heroin or oxycontin or anything of that nature but it is still mind altering so look out for yourself and your recovery.

The issue before us is that if you are in recovery, especially depending on what your in recovery from, tramadol can be a threat to the recovery you've worked for, because it is slightly addictive. You could always have someone give it to you when you need it so you do get tempted to take it when not needed or you could try other methods to reduce your chronic pain.
