How addictive is ecstasy?

I don’t expect to do it and I've never done it, but some friends want to go out next weekend and do ecstasy… how addictive is it?

If you ask me, I dont really know any casual ecstacy users. Once you try it, youre most likely going to try it again. Its dangerous and usually cut with some pretty bad drugs that you shouldnt mix. I know me telling you this probably wont stop you from using it but be sure you realize what addiction can do to your life before you use drugs!

I think that doing something like ecstasy that is addictive and life-threatening takes all the fun out of it.

I would suggest that you don’t try ecstasy. I mean it may sound like a lot of fun and all but it is an addictive drug and could cause you to face a lot of blow-back.

Just like any drug, there is no way to explain how addictive something is. For example, my friend did ecstacy for years, almost daily. He went into rehab for it and all. For me, I was able to use ecstasy and be able to leave it. However, I was not able to try Oxycodone and never pick it up again- I was addicted to it for years. It really just depends on who you are and what you like.

Ecstacy is very addictive. It is a drug that makes you feel good so it is very easy to become addicted to it. However, I know many people who have tried it a few times and never again. On the other side, I have known people to give their life to the drug. It just depends on your mind set and why youre using it. In 2013, around 17 million Americans told American Addiction Centers they have used Ecstasy at least once. So its not saying all 17 million became addicted.
