How addictive are percocets?

It has come to my attention that my niece received a prescription for percocets, how addictive are they? She is way to young for prescription drugs in general.

My bias is definitely going to show through right now, but I have to voice my opinion from my experience. My mom got percocet after her ribs were broken in a car wreck. Not thinking anything of it because she was in pain and it seemed like she needed it. The sad part of all of this is that she got addicted to percocet real quick and ended up in rehab. From what I know she is now doing much better, but who knows.
