My parents told me that drugs are so addictive that if I do them once I will never be able to stop and my life will be over. I feel like they are lying straight to my face and I want to know the truth how addictive are drugs really?

Although it may seem like your parents are lying to you, there is truth in what they are saying to you. Drugs do have the potential to ruin your life forever or even kill you.

I really wish that my parents would have told me what yours told you about drugs, because I started doing some seriously addicting drugs when I was 16 years old. Long story short, I became so addicted to numerous drugs that I could not stop using even if i wanted to. I went on a continuous down hill slide for about ten years before i saw any hope or light of day to getting out of my suffocating drug addiction.
