Can you get addicted to weed?

So curious, someone claimed that weed is just fine and I wont get addicted from smoking it, shoud I believe this to be true?

No I dont think thats true. I've quit weed after years of doing it and ended up smoking again. I know I am addicted to weed and probably will be for the remainder of my life. I have to keep my guard up 24/7 nowadays.
