Can you get addicted to percocet?

The pain specialist put me on percocet for back pain I've been experiencing since I had a skiing accident. The reason I'm on here is because I don’t know if I can get addicted to this stuff or not and would like some answers from real people.

After breaking my arm, the doctor put me on percocet and I got addicted to the pills quickly. Began abusing the pills close to a month in to taking them and became fully addicted to the drug.
