Can someone get addicted to weed?

My sweet nephew came to me yesterday and told me that he smoked weed for the first time then felt guilty and needed to tell someone. I am grateful he feels able to come to me with this kind of thing or anything for that matter but now my head is spinning with the idea that he will get addicted. Any feedback will be appreciately immensely. Thank you.

Yea someone can get addicted to weed. Its more common among vulnerable youth, however the best feedback I've got for you is to talk to him. He might respond really well if you explain the consequences that can result from smoking weed.
