POSTPARTUM UNIT IS AMAZING, I COULD GO INTO A LONG DRAWN OUT DETAIL ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE. BUT, ILL KEEP THINGS SIMPLE! All the women that work in that unit were so wonderful, cared for me in the best of ways! Especially Heather, RN! She was my day nurse the whole three days of admission, and I LOVED HER! ALL THE OTHER NURSES RAVED ABOUT HER. SHE IS THE PERFECT PERSON FOR THIS FIELD OF WORK, HONESTLY! also Lonnie from my operation (c section). Lonnie made me feel comfortable, calm, relaxed. I felt like I was in good hands. Dr. Voce is great, loved his approach and methods. whole experience was great!! I'm so appreciative of them and the others, like Martha from postpartum, as well. Just lovely people.

Update Feb.07.2019 . I got couple calls from the management after posting my experience . Mr. Paul seems very concerned and helpful and asked for details which lead me to Believe there are still some good people who still care for others and they are ready to make things better . I’m changing my review based on the call I received . I hope the management will make the place more friendly . Going to this location for years . I will advise to take your Business somewhere else . Most of the people that work here have a very bad attitude (ER department ). The best punishment is to make them go out of business . Then the management will be forced to treat you as human and will not allow this kind of behavior . Sharp Grossmont management you need to HIRE people who can handle the kind of job . Simply this kind of work it’s not meant for everyone . Take the advice and through the bad apple away .

Sharp lied to my insurance company over the type of appointment I had for 12-20-18. I worked in healthcare for two many years so I know this appointment was free from insurance and Sharp can't collect a copay. I saved the email Sharp send me about my wellness appointment, they claim it was PAP and shaved biopsy. Keep your emails in follow your health. I will be asking my doctor about this on December 20,18. Save everything!

I dont have a complaint about the emergency room, that staff works great but the problem is when you have to stay overnight, we had an awful first experience at this hospital on dec, 06-07 2018, staff does not communicate with each other, they have to ask us why we were at that department, to the point that the nurse said " I dont know why you're here" the doctor was guessing what the problem was, up until now we do not know what cause a stomach ache an nausea even after using all their resource that they have, before all the misinformation, we signed an agreement for a flat rate of 4 thousand to be accepted into the hospital it was an estimate while we understand that usually an estimate goes up 10 or 15% more this went up 20% to 5k flat rate even thoe we were told its 4k flat rate if the bill is less than 20k. I tried to fixed our rate but they couldn't do anything even thoe they said they have had complaints regarding the same issue I tried speaking to their supervisor, they made it imposible, some would even call them self supervisors, but wouldn't know what to do. I ended up paying the 5k because it was going to be sent to collection even tho we were working on the case. And 2 more thousand to cover the doctor bills wich I wasnt aware like I said first time in a hospital. It may not be everyone in the hospital our experience was terrible, it was stressing , it cause us anxiety and overall fear of ever going back to that hospital. I cannot explain every single detail here but hope this can help someone.

I have been there often. Last visit was wonderful I had a great Dr. she was kind understanding and very professional. I was seen within 15 min by a med assist then in 1/2 hr by a Dr. then with in another 20 min lab work then Dr. again. Waiting for lab results took longest. Seen by Dr again given diagnosis. More lab work Then a shot then checkout another kind of long wait for med to bring down B/P.

I have had to go to the emergency department here more often then I care to admit lately and I must say their service has greatly improved over the years. You know longer have to wait hours to even see the triage nurse, even on a Friday night! The staff are very friendly and easy to talk to.

The staff is extremely rude and not compassionate at all. They try everything including tag teaming to push you out of the room, by trying to tell you what’s best for your loved one. They push nursing homes and in patient fecilities down on you. None of them know how to smile at all. Worst place to recover from a surgery. Especially the in 4 west unit. The nurses misquoted me so many times and try to twist words around. We would call for assistance and no one would show up until we would get upset and yell at them. We reported to the nurse three times that my moms arm and hand were numb and nothing was done instead we were told it’s because she sleeping. We reported it again to her doctor the next day and he stated the nurses from the previous day never reported it or documented it. An MRI was finally ordered and my mom had already had a stroke. This is the worst place!!

Kristen 6689 was a complete nightmare. She refused to give verified scheduled medicine's. When we complained she said that she was going to discharge without completing antibiotics. Her personality is disgusting and witch like. This lady is evil. She should not be caring for anyone. We will NEVER come back. We would rather drive any distance to avoid possibly getting this nurse. Also, I requested to be shown a list of when the medications where given. They refused to give that to me. They just gave me a list of my medications with some hand written notes. Basically, it's worse than I thought. I know they can provide a list of medications and the exact time they gave them.. OR IN THIS CASE DIDNT GIVE THEM. DON'T LEAVE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT TAKE CARE OF THEM. THEY WILL BE RUDE THEY WON'T GIVE YOU YOUR MEDICINE. IF YOU COMPLAIN THEY WILL THREATEN TO DISCHARGE YOU.

Worst experience I've ever had. I've been treating chronic wounds on my arm and legs for tweny yrs.The doctor is unaware of the products used to dress wounds.The doctor stated that she doesn't use the products I've been using on my wounds for yrs. However after the doctor leaves and the nurse is left to wrap my wounds to go home she is using exactly what I need and use. I then ask the nurse why the doctor told me that. The nurse states " the doctor doesn't know what products we. use " I'm confused at this point and again ask for a perscriotion for these wound supplies. Im told they will order them for me. A week goes by and no wound supplies. I get on the phone again with the wound center and the insurance company. Finally I receive a shipment of supplies ordered by the doctor and nothing is right. I inform them and the nurse assures me she will correct the problem Finally on the 21st I receive supplies for my arm I've never used this product but it is ordered by a wound care specialist so I use the product and two days later I have a new opening on my arm that has created a large ulcer. I do as I'm instructed and contact the doctor. I wait for a return call and never received one, I wait till my next appointment a week later. The doctor came in and said " the wound has gotten smaller!!!! I couldn't believe she said that and reassured her that she was wrong and she finally agrees and says " you'll have to remind me where I took measurements. I'm dumbfounded and leave. I never get the proper supplies. I take care of my new ulcer the best I can and make arrangements to see a new doctor, but I still have one appointment left and am still in need of supplies so I go to the doctor, I'm upset about the lack of care and tell her so. She tells me I'm hostile, however a new nurse say's " I DON'T THINK YOU WERE HOSTILE" THAT'S WHEN THE DOCTOR DISCHARGES ME !!!!! CHG will honor almost any wound supply you need excluding tape.I made several calls to a certain nurse who would not return my calls,on my following appointment i asked why she or another nurse wouldnt return my call about a severve reaction to a specific wound dressing and the answer i got was "I had a family emergency". The nurse requested the wrong dressing which caused an ulcer on my arm,when i tried to talk to her about it she tried to blame the insurance company for substituting her request for something the insurance would cover.CHG will not substitute a product unless the doctor reperescribes. Grossmont will not give you any supplies to take home until you are able to get supplies unless they mess up and don't order youre supplies like they promise When they do order supplies they do not use the proper coding and you end up with wrong supplies.After numerous phone calls to both the nurses and CHG insurance I still recieved the wrong products due to the inability of the nursing staff to understand proper coding.As per the supervisor, dont waist your time she will stand up for her nurses even when they are wrong ,Also be aware that if you confront a nurse for not doing what they said they would do they will simply hang up on you or tell you to get youre supplies from the drug store.I was also told by the supervisor that it"s too time consuming for them to order you supplies even when you are at risk of loosing another limb.You see I lost my right arm early 2000 and after a stroke have very little use of my remaining arm.I wrote this to inform others what to expect.PPL on SSI can't afford hundreds of dollars in wound supplies every month that's why we have insurance that is willing to pay for it. I find it sad that its too time consuming for Grossmomt wound center to order necessary supplies for home use..WOW I FOUND A GREAT DOCTOR IN THE SOUTH BAY THAT ACTUALLY KNOWS ABOUT WOUND CARE ORDERED WHAT WAS NECESSARY TO HEAL MY WOUNDS AND I GOT SUPPLIES ?? DELIVERED IN 2 DAYS. WARNING TO PPL WITH CHRONIC WOUNDS STAY AWAY FROM GROSSMONT ITS A BUSINESS NOT A CARING PLACE.

Worst Experience of my ENTIRE LIFE. I left with tears in my eyes. Most doctors and nurses could care less. I am strictly voicing in regards to why happened to me today. I went to the ER with my partner, abdominal pain, vomiting etc.. My partner was in a lot of pain and the physician that assisted her with approving medication and course of treatment was PA GINA. She decided to send me and my partner home while we were in tears begging for her help. SHE LIED TO US. She said she would help! She did NOT! She had us sitting in the waiting room for atleast 6hrs before telling my partner the CT SCAN RESULTS were clean. Worst nightmare ever. If Gina ever reads this I know you know who we are and we are VERY DISAPPOINTED. Never in my life did we ever imagine getting turned away while someone is crawled up fetal position crying for help. I hope your kids don’t ever go through what we went through. I am truly disappointed and hurt with the service. If you can go to another hospital I recommend you do. And for “Management” if you would like to run the security tape go ahead and see for yourself.

My name is Carol G and I want them to know how disappointed I am. My dad is 88 years old. My dad is moving on to Rehab today thank god! Been here 10 days with septic shock bringing him in. ICU staff was great then they transferred him to 3rd floor east. Wow big problem from the get go. Nurses were kind and attentive but the doc was no where to be found. Talked to him day one then nothing till I filed a complaint and then at almost 9pm on day 7, I got a call with very little information. The food was so bad my dad couldn’t eat it. He has no diet restrictions but he got the same cold food over and over. I talked to nurses, charge nurses, floor manager and the dietary manager and even today after all that he got the same cold chicken. I’ve been bring food from home or buying it in cafeteria myself. We can’t even get a bowl of cereal or a sandwich. My fathers health except for the infection has declined. He needs IV dietary support which he didn’t need till he was here a few days and I realized they were not even offering him his dentures if I wasn’t here to do it.

I had the Most horrible experience I ever had at a hospital. Dr. Brittany Nobilette should not be practicing medicine. First the place is dirty empty tissue box on the floor stuffed under machines, visible dust and dirt on counters. The doctor look inside my mouth with one of those ear scopes and didn’t even clean it after. Medication left out on the desk where anyone can take it. The nurse lied to me, the nurse practitioner Jason was extremely rude and came in with an attitude. I didn’t even get discharge papers. I was referred to other doctors and all the numbers that where given to me where disconnected! Please save yourself do NOT go here, especially if you are not white and on medi-cal. I’m so sad to leave a review like this.

Bad place, not organized, my dad had car accident and he was in pain and they kept him in a wheelchair for 5 hours and until now we still in the hallway, and they say we don't have any room or any info. When we will find a space for him. And i saw the rooms getting empty and filled whil we sitting in the hallway. Bad administration and not organized. I'll rather drive for 25 minutes go to pomirado hospital.

my son suffers from scizophrenia these people sedate him so they wont have to deal with him while hes on a 3 day hold there but they say he refuses his medication im sure he refuses his sedation shot too anyway they have slammed him sgainst the walls he said the restrooms there are dirty i went to check his back they started treating me like dirt david in the bhu unit said i was acting like a patient after i asked for the charge nurse i was not tolerating this unproffessionalism i called state and made s complaint they got surveyed now my son was called by 3 people the police put him on 3 day hold and now grossmont kicks him out he has traumatized all night i call the hospital they transfer me to observations? no help there they send me to er no help there but when i keep calling they call the police omg really they have no ansers for no one my son is disabled mentally it is 3 am and grossmont doesnt care sbout the families or patients whstsoever

8/13/2018 I had a scheduled C-section. This is my third C-section and this was the smoothest one of the three. I previously had my other two children at a hospital in Los Angeles and they are a great high rated hospital for Los Angeles county but nothing compared to sharp grossmont. Want to thank all my nurses and doctors cleaning staff the volunteers and the food service. Everyone was kind and really attentive and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Not to mention I'm not a drama queen and I have a pretty high pain tolerance so that was probably a pretty big factor. Docs said I was their perfect patient because I was so calm through the whole process. This isn't my first rodeo in the OR. Quickest release from the hospital as well. We we're out just after 48 hours of my daughter being born which is great I was really excited to be home. Not everyone is the same when it comes to recovery but I'm pretty strong when it came to these three surgeries. I'll admit I was having mixed feelings because of reviews that I was reading but everyone was genuinely nice and seemed to care very much. Thank you sharp grossmont.

My aunt was addmitted and put on life support and brought to icu. I have nothing but loving a great things to say about her nurse keitha. She treated my aunt with so much care i am so gtayeful for. As well as our family and the visitors that came to say goodbye to my aunt.keitha is by far a breath of air for myself and my family. The kindness she showed us while we went throught this very sad time. I just want whoever reads this to know that kritha is and has been a blessing for our family

Went into the ER for a return back to work note after an accident was very clear to the Dr. about not needing any xrays or ct scan work done... long story short Dr. Could careless went above and around my every need only to be left with a $4k bill and still NO return to work note to go make the 4k Sharp would like me to pay .01 star

The worst experience of my life. Do not ever go to this hospital. They work the system and charge the max possible to your insurance. They kept me in ER when I wanted to leave and wouldn’t let me and now have maxed out my out of pocket for my insurance. They are rude and facility is gross. I didn’t even get a room I was left on a bed in a hallway and charged for a overnight stay. Update: spoke to Lindsay with patient relations and she was the nicest person I have dealt with. She was very understanding and helpful.

Physician assistant Tim Ho is mean and not very patient friendly. He could care less that the patient is in pain, not a very comforting person. The rest of the staff was very nice. Its always one person that has to ruin it. He kept saying that it was reflux and i explained it wasn't and he became insulted saying his professional opinion was better than what i thought was wrong. But bottom line he didnt have to be rude or mean or so unprofessional especially since he claimed to be so professional but was really unprofessional to even state that.

The worst doctors at ICU specially Dr.Salem and Dr.Naggi they don’t know how to treat patients to me they are not doctors they are more like a butcher that kills people Specially Dr.Salem he knows nothing except killing his patients take away “the doctor” title from him he’s the worst doctor in the human history he basically killed my mom that was his patient at ICU he kept injecting her with stuff and make her get worse and worse everyday he doesn’t deserve to be a doctor and everybody when heard my mom was at Grossmont hospital they told me they are going to kill her there because no one enters that hospital and make it out alive please please remove that nightmare that is called “ dr. Salem” he needs to be under investigation and questioning him why is he killing all of his patients and why no one makes it alive at his ICU department He put my mom on a life support system and both dr. Salem and dr. Naggi assured me that my mom can breath on her own and I told them both she is not ready because my mom did not look ok and strong enough to breath on her own she looked weak and tired on that day but both insisted she is ready and they removed the life support system and as I told them my mom wasn’t ready on that day so she couldn’t make it and they both New she wasn’t ready and she is going to die because a night before she died they sent a priest to my mom’s room and prayed and seemed like he was preparing her for death and when she died I asked dr. Naggi which was her cardiologist I told him that you told me and assured me that her heart is so strong and She will be able to breath on her own all he said “I’m sorry it looked strong and I thought she was ready” REALLY !!!!! Your thoughts killed my mom and they are the reason for me not having my mom alive today !!!!! Those doctors at Grossmont hospital at ICU department specially Dr.Salem needs to be prosecuted because they’re killing innocent people

Having my first child here at Grossmont wasn’t special at all. Doctor fulford came in the room and was yawning like he was choking his chicken all night. Constantly yawning and claiming how tired he was he had no patience at all. Your a dr be genuine ur sharing a special moment with ur patients it’s not just another baby.
