My overall experience withOzark Guidance Center was extremely positive. It's very different from other treatment centers and the staff all work very hard to accommodate the individual. The owners frequently visit the clinic and lodge and they regularly check in with patients. It felt a lot more like a family environment instead of a clinical rehabilitation facility. The counsellors and group leaders are also very professional and worked with me very closely. Having the residential building was really awesome too. This facility was very strong in the recovery area as a whole. more specifically, they were very good at community building, treatment plan personalization and working one on one with clients.

We've all seen the headlines. We know the United States has an epidemic- but its not only with opioids. So many people are suffering from other addictions- alcohol, benzodiazepines, stimulants, etc. What about those suffering from trauma and mental illness? It's time we get over the stigma and treat these as illnesses like diabetes, cancer or lung disease. As with all chronic illnesses, treatment is hard. Hard for the client and hard for the treatment center/provider. Some people need emergency rooms. Some need inpatient hospital stays. Some require the criminal justice system. It would sure be nice if we could bring all of those treatment concepts together into one facility. Ozark Guidance Center is striving to integrate all of these efforts. It was a 5 until today. I got excellent treatment from the counselor and NP. I no longer am a patient. My PCP has been trying to get medical records for 3 months. I called, explained and was put on hold without being told. Then the call disconnected. I called back and said who I was and WITHOUT A WORD, was transferred to the front desk at Siloam. That person told me they didn't have a release of info in my chart. It was sent and my doc's nurse talked to them personally twice and was never told that as a reason. Never. I hope whoever answered the initial call learns how to do the job with COURTESY at the least. If anyone had treated a MH patient like this, without regard, back in the day, they'd be fired. Terrible frontline picture. Maybe a couple of sessions at work would help. The services are worth a 10.
