If there were negative stars they would get a negative 10. This is the real Hotel California. The staff all the way up to the CEO has lied to my face about my husband’s care. These people have one goal in mind. The almighty dollar. DO NOT subject your loved one to these “people”. They refuse to act professionally. They are not specialists in their field. After 4 days, I still haven’t heard about a treatment plan not to mention the “doctors” are always too busy. I have never met them. Again, THIS IS NOT a medical facility. Run away fast.

do not get a social worker named Angela she will not work on getting you to a rehab she perfers to send her patients to az connections and tells them they will find housing there. She does not do her work and she had 2 weeks to get it done. Dr Vines is a very good Dr but Angela needs to be fired. she won't even keep her eyes open to talk to you.

Nothing but pill pushers here. Only one real therapist to talk to and even then they aren’t available on call. Techs are creepy and spy on girls when they sleep. The food is inedible but the main issue is the lack of counseling services available when needed. The whole point of this is to feel better and they keep you inside all day doing nothing but sitting. Some of the nurses were truly amazing though and deserve recognition,without the amazing nurses it would’ve been much harder

I was thirteen when I went here and this was back in 2015. I remember what it was like completely and I remember the great time I had. I was in there for suicidal attempts and severe depression and I didn’t want to go here at first but entering I opened up earlier than I thought! There was friendly staff who really connected with me and my group when we were here. The other patients became my family as well and we all cared for each other, they helped me out including the staff. I felt so safe here, the bed was nice, I made new friends, got to meet people I could relate to, and talk about things I’ve never been able to talk about before. I was truly blessed to be here and I am doing much better now. And I’m not a bloody staff member writing this review, I am a recovered patient.

This place is a nightmare. The 5 star ratings are staff members. The place is unsafe and your loved one will come out with more symptoms than they went in. They will call CPS with false reports of neglect because you are taking a paycheck away from them. They are all about the money. They also do not supply religious privileges. They hurt your loved ones than help them.

The 5 star reviews have to be fake. This place was unbelievably unprofessional and unsafe (with the exception of 2 or 3 employees who actually care). My wife arrived in january 2019 after leaving an emergency room for severe depression. She was not suicidal, but had "given up". We needed a "Medical facility" to watch over her due to some medical conditions she had including a VERY active seizure condition. She was left in several dangerous situations (even immediately during admission), and she was repeatedly moved around because the staff and doctors were never aware of her medical needs (IE: bed with seizure rails so she didn't fall on the tile floor and crack her skull). They kept putting her on the wrong floors, because nobody seemed to know anything or have any paperwork on her, despite her and I spending 6-7 hours in admitting filling out the absurd amount of paperwork and going through interviews. The doctors repeatedly failed to fill the prescriptions she needed, which eventually led to me insisting they release her to me early because she flat-out could not handle another day there. I'm simply shocked they have not been sued out of existence. Likely because they prey on the weak who don't have the resources to take legal action. My wife was not allowed ANY personal belongings, not even a stuffed animal. Meanwhile, she was placed with a psychotic room mate who was allowed to carry a sharp, ceramic angel with her at all times, which could have easily been used as a weapon. Her room mate even forced her way into the bathroom and ripped back the shower curtain while she was showering just to "see if she was ok". There was a very "scary", large man on her floor that was mostly unchecked as well. She called me every night in tears telling me she just couldn't stay there, and she was terrified because there was no real security to keep her safe. She went in depressed, and came out even more traumatized. The treatment is basically non-existent. They force you into groups (sometimes loud and seizure-inducing) and treated seizures no more seriously than a headache. The groups consisted of mostly coloring, and a bare-minimum effort version of "group therapy", with no materials to read/follow along with. If you want to pay top dollar for a virtually unsupervised poor excuse for a daycare center, this is the place for you. Otherwise, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They have since sent us to collections which charges interest by the day. We are having to pull all of our emergency funds out to pay these money-grubbing fools off to get them out of our lives.

The 5 star reviews are lies. They were written by staff. Don’t let them deceive you. Do ANYTHING you can to avoid going in here. They don’t have any sort of empathy. They only care about giving you pills, pills, pills. They don’t treat you like a human being and you will never ever be heard. “Run” away from here!

If there was 0 stars I'd do that. This is the third behavioral health hospital I've been to, and by far the worst. I was assaulted and came out worse than I went in. To boot, they are unwilling to work with me about the assault. I have to formally request my records as they closed ranks when I pressed the issue. Don't send your loved ones here, there are so so many better hospitals than this torture camp.

I have 60 years of history with mental illness, and this is the first time I have been in a facility, that not only treated me with humanity, but taught me to overcome my mental illness. I spent 8 days in-patient at Quail Run Behavioral Health, and just completed 8 weeks of Intensive Outpatient Services. I have gone from totally out of control, to being the closest I have been in my life to who God intended for me to be. Through the work I have done, and the dedication of the staff, my overall well being has improved greatly. I especially want to thank Ms. Jamie for the last 8 weeks of outpatient therapy, she has a special calling in this field. I also want to thank the therapists in in-patient who treated me with love and respect, and showed that they were there because they care. Regulating my medications was the main reason for the stay, but the work I did with Ms. Jamie in Intensive Outpatient is the main reason for getting back to the self I am meant to be.

I was a teen patient at quail run for eight days. I was there for suicidal attempts and allegations. When I went in I thought I would come out feeling a little better. But I didn’t I felt worse. They barely talk to you one on one. They just put you in a group with other teens and all day the only thing you do is group activities. They wake you up at 6 am, give you 30 minutes with your hygiene buckets,then take you to breakfast. After breakfast you have three group activities. The first one you all say stupid goals for today( be happy ) stuff like that. Then they have another group where you learn about depression and what it does to you. All day you do useless groups that do nothing but make you feel worse and hopless. I felt like a crazy person. I got one phone call a day for 3 minutes. The staff would roll their eyes at if you cried, and all they ever talked to you one on one it was about when they gave you your pills. The beds were so uncomfortable and I was feezing. When I asked for another blanket they said I wasn’t allowed. The only thing that kept me from shutting down completely in that place were the other patients. If it weren’t for the friends I made I wouldn’t be here. But the fact that I had kind people checked in at the same time as me was a fluke. That place is terrible. It will make you feel worse. Ten times worse. My friend was told she could go home when she was secretly cutting herself with her nails in the middle of the night. They are not interested in treating you. They are interested in getting as much money as possible. Please don’t send your loved one there.

If you're only trying to sleep twenty three hours a day, just to be in a state of "non-sleep" long enough to eat and complain... you will not like it here. If you ache for understanding, not by someone else, but from your very self... you will love it here... If you may believe you are slicker, slyer, craftier...in order to fool the BHT's, the kitchen staff, the nurses, the housekeeping staff, the social workers, the phelebotomists that come and go, the Therapists, the maintenance staff, the Doctors, you will be epicly outmatched here...if this is your very first appeal for help, or you keep trying... you will love it here...if you're only trying to get drugs (narcotics,) and are unsuccessful, you may be tempted to leave a grossly inaccurate review that says more about you than Quail Run... you will not like it here. Still interested? You will not be able to smoke tobacco in any form here, anywhere, at any time. If you're interest remains... Go to Quail Run. Not later, now. If you're in the ER trying to figure out where to go, come here. Definitely not for comfort, your gums will bleed from the toothbrushes, you will pull out a lot more hair than usual if you have long or treated hair because the combs are not hair friendly. You may also get sick because the food isn’t always cooked fully. You will also want to sneak food into your room because if you’re hungry you won’t be allowed to eat. Honestly I have them three starts because the nurses are friendly, the techs are polite, and the yogurt is amazing for breakfast! Other than that, it is not a good place to be.

This place is very nice looking and the staff is for the most part nice. My 72 y/o handicap father was in there for over a week. They did NOTHING For him. He essentially sat there the whole time. On top of that they never bathed him...they knew his situation and knew he needed assistance and never even offered to assist him in bathing. He actually seems worse that he was when he went in. I would not recommend this place, especially if it's for anyone who needs any assistance. Niceness is great, but not if it's at the neglect of patients.

A loved one with an eating disorder was admitted here and he was very much not taken care of. The staff did not care to check if he was actually eating the food as long as it was documented that he received it. The cameras are often not on and overall it has been more harmful than helpful.

I was there 2-12-19 through 2-19-19 my experience was okay I’m 12 years old and I went there for suicidal thoughts.The staff there always seems to have something up there butt. Or to put it simple always grumpy.Randy liked to pick fights with some of us in the adolescent unit south side. And Abdul think we were just there for misbehaving if we undo up in there a second time. the only good tech’s there were Paola,Francis,Joseph they always treated us kind and fulfilled most of our needs. Needless to say, The kids there is we’re not good there was always fighting and very catty and loud.There was never a environment of healing. And group was very awkward. Some kids were talking the whole time and more than once got kicked out of group more than once. But the kitchen staff was a 10! I have celiac disease and dairy intolerance and a allergy to sesame seeds and tree nuts. They made my food special and never left me feeling hungry the food was also amazing good chef! The rooms were okay there’s a cramped space called a bathroom with a shower sink and toilet and the bathroom didn’t have a full door so your roommate could hear you taking a dump. And the beds are not comfortable your given a heavy pillow one thin blanket and a sheet. Your woken up 6am and they make you get vitals and if your first day surprise! You have to get blood drawn. And then you grab your hygiene bucket and shower. Then you go to breakfast. Start goals group then go to rec and more group till lunch after lunch more group then everyday except wensday. There’s visitation or phone calls. And at night before bed we watch a movie and snack and shower then at 9pm it’s lights out. And then you start all over again. PLEASE READ- do not send a loved one to this facility for mental help. My best friend who I loved dearly committed suicide the day he was released, 12/12/2018. He had TBI and checked himself in 11/27/2018 on his own accord. He had already been bounced around to 4 other neuro docs and this was his final one who took him to his grave. They prescribed him and released him with so many sedative medications that were not beneficial or relevant to the core of his problems! He took his life that night with all of the new sedatives t(5 different bottles) the Doctor prescribed even AFTER I called 3 times and had 30 minute conversations with the 3rd floor nurses that he was telling me he was going to commit suicide when he got out if they gave him enough meds! This place should be shut down. They are not experienced obviously with TBI patients. They did not listen to me at all. I found his body after reading text messages from him many hours later, in his hotel room when I woke up with a sick feeling and raced over there. F Quail Run. Burn. They are just legal drug dealers in my eyes. Your loved one is just a number & $$$$ to them.

Going here may wreck you financially, so be warned ahead of time. They will bill you, and bill you, and bill you for more things, and then more things, and then more things, months later! Never mind the insurance you pay a fortune for, it won't help much. Long after your "service", you may continue to receive bill, after bill, after bill, after bill. You eventually will reach a point where if you are of modest means, you realize you are in a world of hurt. As far as their service. They let some kids get far too out of control, scaring kids who are not completely insane. Some therapists aren't very good at getting the average kid to talk about their issues. As far as how much they helped, it's a mixed bag. If I could go back in time I would not have gone. One more tip: If anyone along the way says "just let the ambulance take your loved one, the insurance will pay", don't believe it before calling your insurance and verifying that. Some get stuck with huge bills that were supposed to be "covered" according to nurses.

I was admitted for a week in the adolescent unit, this was my first time in a mental hospital. However, my first night when I had a breakdown I was immediately told that everything was going to be okay and comforted. I was so scared being there but my fear soon faded and i was offered great help throughout my stay. My medicine was changed and for the first time in awhile I felt stable. On a bad note my social worker was probably the worst I have ever had. After being admitted she met with me once and had this thought that she knew me and what I was going through. She seemed to think she was better than everyone in the facility. Also I was 17 at the time I was admitted and I felt as if some of the activities they had me doing were not fit for my age. I was doing things that helped the younger kids but to me seemed to never work. Overall, my experience was good. I enjoyed the food and the people. I learned a lot about myself here.

Wish I had a place for ZERO stars. The Intake person and their Finance Department both told me and put it in writing on the admissions form that my co-pay would be $150. After my IOP program was up, I got a bill for $480! These people are thieves and the counseling, if you want to call it that, consisted of a group of arguing women mostly about the cost of tires at Big-O versus Costco. The rooms are small and very hot and crowded. One of the counselors complained she was ready to go do another job because she was tired of having to sit for hours each day listening to people complain about their lives and problems...very compassionate huh? Save your money. Seek treatment somewhere else where the staff truly cares about their patients. What a waste of time and money!

It’s a decent hospital I’ve been here twice for depression and suicidal attempt I feel it has helped me a little bit and I have more people to talk to ( I got a few people contact information) one part I felt didn’t really help was the groups I personal refused to take medicine because I believe it doesn’t help me I was up to 15 pills a night and felt worse then I ever had before that was a year or two ago but I’ve tried multiple different medications and none of them have worked of anything they make me feel worse most of the staff there were semi nice others were just rude I was in there for 8 days the one thing that really bothered me was when everyone is trying to sleep every 15 minuets someone would come in with bright flashlights and shine them directly in you and your roommates face and it really sucks when ur a lite sleeper. Anyway I give it 3 stars because it’s not the best and far from the worse

I came to Quail Run to detox off drugs. I was desperate and at this point suicidal because I wanted help so badly. This place is amazing, no judgment of my drug use and the detox was smooth and comfortable. Staff was compassionate and made sure i had a safe place to go to when released. Food was amazing rooms clean and art class was a lot fun. AA meetings that were brought in were amazing.I admitted myself into Quail Run 4-19-17 and still sober. Thank you

As a patient I can tell you that you won't love all of it the beds are horrible and the brushes don't help but I felt safe here and like I was really cared about I honestly want to go back the staff is amazing and the food is actually good they fed us often with 3 meals and 3 snack times we watched movies and bonded with people who had similar problems and struggles

Quail Run is by far the best inpatient BH facility I have been too. The staff is wonderful. They all seemed like the wanted to be there and they truly did care. The day is so organized and follows a schedule. They did lose my contact solution and case, but the staff was so awesome. I saw my Dr. everyday and it wasn't at 9pm like other places.

Horrible place, my wife has extreme bipolar disorder, where one minute she's afraid to lose me, the next she wants a divorce. This place doesn't care about me or our family, they only look at the patient, and takes what the patient says for gold. My wife says I'm a jerk, then that's what they believe me to be, they won't talk to me to find out the whole story, because my wife says no! So how can they treat someone if they dont know wheater there patient is manipulative, and only tells one side of the story, that's not helping, only re-enforcing bad beliefs. Don't come here unless you want to be in the dark, the patients have full power, and can do what they want!, and not get what they need! They claim patient confidentiality, but they can talk to the family without breaking there confidentiality, it's done all the time! This place is here to harbor people, and take there money, nothing to do about helping those who truly need it. Head my warning!

They do not care for the family as a whole they lie to family members never return calls get them out as quick as possible don't listen to family members caseworkers teachers they seem nice but just a job to some not a good place for teens with mental problems would not recommend to anyone with serious I mean very serious teens with mental issues they do not know how to treat them...the patient can manipulate the Drs and therphist very easily very sad you send you teen there for help they keep a week change meds and send home so very sad and upsetting and if you disagree they won't take your teen back I was told this so can't prove that yet we will see....I am very sure my teen will need help in the very near future was sent home too soon again...sad very sad

When seeking support, the staff states the copay, but fails to mention that you will be billed the difference in what your insurance will pay. Went from 50 dollars a day to having to pay over 200 per visit. Buyer be ware of the quick talk and low service. Shameful to take advantage of people. Now over 4000 for services. Ridiculous.

All of the negative comments which I have read are not all what I experienced while in the adolescents unit. I was there this past June and July. My requests were all taken into consideration. Anyone reading this whether it be an adult going or sending there kid or a kid being admitted it is nothing to be afraid of. I promise you that. You will get the help you need. If you're an adolescents and happen to meet charlie he is a very kind and caring nurse who i found was very easy to talk to. You want fruit or anything talk to him. He is a very caring person. My dad suffers from Alzheimer's and as the disease progressed, he started having outbursts. His assisted living facility sent him to Haven Senior Horizons hospital, and after a horrible 15-day stay there, he was worse than before he entered. Quail Run was recommended to us, and we had him admitted. They immediately had a social worker and doctor in touch with me to explain what was going on and to get a full history and background on my dad. They stayed in touch with me throughout his stay, and after a week he was stabilized and discharged. He has remained stable and is much happier since his stay here. I would definitely recommend them for any family with a senior with mental health problems.

Loved one is currently voluntarily admitted. Staff is incompetent, and have no regard for the law. I would not reccomend this hospital to anyone. We chose this one because they were literally the only private hospital that had a bed available, and we would have been better off with a state hospital. This is a sub-par hospital.

I had a break down over the summer and slipped into psychosis and was soon admitted here. I was scared I’d never been to a mental hospital but the people I met were nice enough. The staff on the other hand were halfway decent. The activity director on the 3rd floor, Kathleen and the yoga instructor made sure to make me feel uncomfortable during my stay. I guess they like to taunt people who have “suicidal idealation” because I didn’t go through with it. I thought I was okay so I was released but the second time back was a complete nightmare! Horrible staff, they made me feel worse by doing stupid experiments on me i.e. fake phone calls, releasing gas smells in the lobby. When I left the second time I was way over medicated by them and they did not care which came directly from a nurses mouth. If someone you love is suffering get them real help, not sent to some place that’ll make them worse, has no real support, or care in place.

I was there for a week there and was amazed at how beautiful the building was. The inside was really nice. Only complaint though the bed wasnt exactly comfy and well kinda small for me. Other then that a really good place for those who need help.

My son was admitted here for suicide watch. They were dishonest to him about EVERYTHING before they took him there? To make this brief it has been nothing but dishonesty and frustration!!!! I do not recommend this place if your loved one is suffering from depression. They have only 3 days a week you can visit your loved ones and ONLY 1 TIME ( NO EXCEPTIONS) How do you think your loved one feels left in a place without visitors ? Also no straight answers about their well-being. It all depends on who you talk to and the story/ well-being changes......... My heart is saddened. If you care for your loved one look at other options. On the positive its clean and the front greeter lady is very nice.

I was recently discharged from this hospital. My family had quite a different experience than I did. My mother disliked the psychiatrist on the adolescent unit, which is more than fair. She is pleasant, but she is short and doesn't listen too well. The team didn't communicate with my family while I was inpatient so that caused some turmoil. That being said, I loved the techs. Actually living on the fourth floor is not as terrible as it seems. The nurses can be short, but the BHT's are amazing. Melanie and Regina are so helpful and supportive. Regina's self-groups make a huge impact on nearly every patient. The rec-therapy is super lowkey and relaxing after a long day of intense groups. The food is amazing and the kitchen staff are so happy all the time. Losing your freedom, being admitted, is always undesirable; Quail Run made it as comfortable as possible in my experience.

the most nightmarish hospital ive ever been to. there was a huge bullying problem amongst other patients (i understand thats not the staffs fault) but they did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to stop it. Every "activity" we did was useless and a waste of time (which in a hospital like this it should help patients recover) Doctors didnt do anything either, what a suprise. Patients were able to stay in their rooms and sleep all day if they wanted to. (in a behavioral hospital?? where they should be monitoring everyone and making sure they arent indulging in habits that make them worse??) All these good reviews almost seem fake because I can't possibly see anyone giving this place anything above 1 star. Do NOT send your loved ones here.

This was the worst hospital hands down I was there back in January don't even remember being there . I had stopped taking my meds and they were told this several times. One of my meds needed to be started gradually but no they started me on the dose I was at. I was there for a week they called my dad and said they were going to send me home the next day by cab. I never showed up my kids and family were worried. So the next morning at 2am they sent me to the hospital thinking I was having a stroke. They didn't even notify my family. My mom called up there about 10am asking where I was and that is when she found out. Well it wasn't a stroke they poisoned me with that med and shut my kidneys down. They didn't know if I would make it. I was in ICU getting continuous dialysis I barley remember the last 2 days there. I would not recommend this hospital to anybody. It should be shut down

Quail run offers nothing that is stated on the hospital web page. Discharge nurse told me that they do not offered individualized program. Stabilize and release with no specialized treatment. I have it on recording. Could say so much more bad. Just another waste of tax payer money thinking mental health patients are getting help. Do not go here for acute treatment. It doesn't exist and the Web site is grossly dishonest.

it is the most helpful place I've ever been to. It helped a lot when I was there and now im doing kind of better. But it was fun and ive learned a bunch of reasons to stay alive and have my future. And if you or anyone you know have depression and self harming or anorexia or whatever. there is hope and I recommend you or family member come here it will help I promise you

I cannot say enough about how great Quail Run is! I've seen a few negative comments that seem rather petty to me. No place is perfect, yet Quail Run is close! Also, this isn't my first rodeo in inpatient units. I'd have to say that this was my best hospital experience, hands down. The facility is new, clean and extremely comfortable. Groups are good and run as scheduled. Staff is phenomenal, organized, efficient, compassionate and approachable. Especially, the BHT's, Kenny, Kyle, Tyrrell, Andy, Shea and Josh. Nurses; Jessica, Sherry, Heathergk, Aarin and Adina. Dr. Vines is fantastic! As well as his PA, Topher. They are brilliant, caring and extremely knowledgeable. The adult units hold 22 beds (co-ed). My daughter (age 15) was recently in this facility, at first glance it appears to be a nice building and well put together. After 5 hours of trying to get her paperwork done to get her admitted I noticed that this place definately does not have the help that is needed to keep it clean. Both my daughter and I killed insects crawling around on the floor in one of the "group rooms", dust and crumbs all over the tables and floors. I started to not have such a good feeling after such a long wait and the cleanliness of this place, but i thought it is late and i am in a bad mood because i have to admit my daughter into a behavioral ward and i wont get to see her for a while. The next day (friday)- I waited all morning to have the psychologist give me a call after she/he spoke to my daughter to give me her analysis and talk to me about how she thinks she should be treated. I had to call back twice before I got a return call back, and then this woman was extremely rude, cut me off and would not let me speak. We also found out that the tons of paperwork that I filled out was imput into the system incorrectly so they never called the right number. I was then told on the weekend that they would do a Monday assesment of how she did over the weekend - never got a call back. We never recieved valid information of why my daughter (although doing very well, stated by the psychologis & therapist) was still in the ward. The first bit of good information of what she did and how well she did or anything pertaining to her mental health was when we did the family meeting before she was released. Pretty much she was doped up the entire time and had her circle on a page of how she was feeling. I know there are steps for places like this that need to go through, but as a parent with a minor in a hospital you would like to know what is going on with your child! So as a parent DO NOT take the DR's word for what they diagnose your children at! Get a second opinion! We took her imediately to another psychologist because of the way we were treated there, and come to find out her new psychologist said she was missdiagnosed and should have never been on the medication they put her on.

Lice outbreak last week and they refused to treat the bedding and take care of it in a professional way they said it cost too much. A week later still has lice!! Hospital also started taking in homeless people who do not want to leave and because they are covered by state health care the hospital keeps them around as steady cash flow instead of actually rehabilitating them. Staff are used and abused. Rarely is there enough staff to even cover their own breaks let alone take a lunch and still have enough staff to watch the rest of the floor. Its clear that this hospital does not care about its employees or the patients only to make a money off other peoples struggles. The direct contact staff however are friendly, loving and caring and they do their job because the want to help despite the treatment they get being understaffed and underpaid. They make things look good for their state inspections but immediately chance their ways when the inspections are over.

Wish I could give 5 stars but the intake/billing department outright LIED TO US. First time we had to have a family member admitted the facility was just opened. Admissions said they were in process of being awarded in-network provider status but they would petition the insurance for an override which would allow them to bill with in-network status. They were successful. Second admission we were assured that since the override happened the first time that they were certain to get a second override, no problem. Handed over our HSA card with the promise of in-network copay/coverage. Denied in-network! On top of that they claimed they were unable to accept our HSA card for the deductible payment. Said their machine was transmitting that they were not a medical facility so the payment was being rejected. So now over a year later they have charged us for out of network fees & sent us to collections for almost $2,000. DO NOT TRUST THE INTAKE/BILLING OFFICE. THEY WILL SAY ANYTHING TO GET PATIENTS/MONEY! As for the counselors & medical staff I give high marks for all individuals. Everyone was professional and helpful. They kept patients safe & did their best considering the short time patients normally spend there. We will NEVER use them again because of the lies from billing! If you go there get everything in writing. DO NOT TAKE THEIR WORD OR VAPID PROMISES.

I went here in January. I was in the adolescent unit, and the kids were violent and absolutely out of control. One kid told me they gave her the wrong medication!!! The nurses had no ounce of empathy and I was punished for crying & being sad. They lied to my mother and I consistently. I was not able to eat due to severe anxiety, but the moment I found out I was leaving AMA, a huge weight was lifted off of my chest. Then they lied to me, saying my mom decided she wanted me to stay for a few more days. (She didn't, she wanted me to leave asap). I insisted they let me call her to confirm. She did not say anything of the sorts. I was not allowed to talk to her if I were to cry. They threatened to disconnect the phone if I even STARTED to cry. At night when you're trying to sleep, the techs will shine a bright flashlight in your face every 15 minutes. I slept for maybe 2 and a half hours that whole night. It was also too much of a bother to ask the nurses if I could use the restroom. The entire time I was there I did not have a chance to talk to a therapist and that's ALL I needed. Do not go here!!! They lie, they're neglectful, and they're abusive. I can't believe this place is still open.

Kids are violent they don't separate violent from non violent leaving kids risk for injury. They don't have enough blankets. Very cold facility. And won't let outside blankets be given to children. It's $1035/night and on weekends all therapists are off you still get charged same price. Drs never speak to parents. They drug kids up without being honest to parents about what is being given.

Do not send your child here EVER!!! Thry have bad uncomfortable accommodations and don't give proper hygiene supplies. My daughter went without brushing her teeth for 5 days and she has braces. She also got worse while in their care and had more mental issues added by staying there. They also called CPS on us because we took our daughter out 3 days early. They retaliated due to the loss of money. I talked to other professionals that work in th industry and they told me they are incompetent and they are all about the money and filling beds. They also say they have activities like volleyball that they dont have and in the middle of the night they shine flashlights in their faces and yell at the youth a lot. Don't give them a dime of your hard earmed money.

My Son (who's now 16 years old) has been to just about every facility in the valley, and Quail Run is BY FAR THE ABSOLUTE BEST IN ARIZONA! I can't even put into words how truly appreciative and grateful I am for the help My son has received from the ENTIRE Staff that work in the adolescent units! They are committed to providing top of the line medical care and do so with compassion at the forefront! We have been blessed beyond belief when Kathryn was assigned to my sons case! I know my child's receiving amazing care and in the best possible place with the most capable hands any situation that could possibly lead to the stay and or after care that is available for Mental Health Needs

I felt worse being in there. They shut me up. they wouldn't let me cry. They didn't listen to me. They lied to me and my mom consistently. I had to get out AMA because it was such a nightmare. It was jail without the handcuffs. I was in the adolescent unit, kids were extremely violent. I was so scared. I came out traumatized. Please... find somewhere else!!! Please.

I was admitted here in April for a suicide attempt, severe depression and anxiety. My mom and I were waiting to be admitted for 4 hours and it took another hour to sign all the paperwork. Around 9pm we were finally brought up to 15-17 year old area of the building. Immediately I had a terrible feeling about the place. First off, they put together people with anger management issues and those with depression and anxiety in the same room. Many times I felt unsafe in the general environment I was placed in. They have 2 types of group therapy a day and no individual therapy. Even though Quail Run is supposed to be short term care, there were people who had been there for a month. Many of them just wanted to be transferred to a better long term facility because they were not being helped whatsoever. Majority of the techs and the nurses could not care less about your wellbeing. When I was trying to sleep at night the techs would come around every 15 minutes and shine a flashlight in my face. I was taken off my old antidepressant and put on new medication. I felt like a tired mess all day. Everyone is forced to stay in the same small room full of uncomfortable chairs for the majority of the day. The amount of people falling asleep on the tables (myself included) was embarrassing. I was placed in a single room; however, those who were in doubles were faced with the responsibility of informing the techs if their roommate was doing any form of self harm. Even the idea of that is terrifying to me. They really should not put that responsibility on the kids there. The food was terrible. Breakfast was the same everyday. They would give you snacks around 1pm, but it was always the same pb + j sandwiches and chex mix. I gained around 10 pounds during my 8 day stay. I do have say big thanks to the only good techs in that place: Paola and Braden. Without them I would have felt absolutely no support from the staff there. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone. There was not a single person there who felt like Quail Run had benefited them whatsoever.

Horrible Insurance nightmare, they bill everyone separately physicians and facility, they lie to you and say they are covered in your plan, which they are not. Then they send you to collections and lie saying they tried to contact you! read the reviews, I am not the only one who experienced the same from this shady company. Treatment was fine for my family member. Just the billing of this facility and customer service stinks! DO NOT GO HERE! YOU WILL BE SENT TO COLLECTIONS FOR THEIR UNBUNDLING OF CHARGES! FRAUD ALERT!

We requested to have our Son go to Quail Run for help after he hurt himself. Quail Run advertised they had help for Vets suffering with PTSD. While he was there we tried to get answers, there was very limited communication, even after my Son signed the papers saying they could provide information to his family. My Son was suffering from PTSD from his time in Iraq. All Quail Run did was give him so much medication he was like a zombie and they released him 9 days later. Shortly after being released he took his life. I would really like to know how many people Quail Run has treated who have taken their life. If your child is a Veteran suffering with PTSD, contact the PTSD Foundation -Camp Hope, they are saving lives, not Quail Run. Heartbroken for life #oneless22

I just left quail run on Tuesday. I initially went in to get help due to the fact that I was suicidal. Leaving I feel worse. The staff are absolutely rude ! They make you go to groups. To color and beat on drums in which it should be groups to talk about everything we need help in, in order to get the help. If you do one thing wrong they get absolutely rude and start to roll their eyes. They don't talk to you , they just expect you to get " help " from groups . I do not recommend quail run at all ! You will get no help better yet you will feel 10x worse leaving. This experience was horrible and if I could go back and have the option of going. I would not ! If you are looking for real help , do NOT go here ! One thing about this place is I met some wonderful people.

Keep in mind that you are not going on vacation to a resort. Every safety measure that is in place is because of a reason. Use your time here to reflect on your life and the choices you've made that got you to where you are. I found the 7 days I was there very useful to reflect on my life. It was nice to not have all of the outside noise. Sure there are certain freedoms that you lose but again every safety measure is there for a reason. My hat goes off to 3rd north's staff they were all great. Thank you for everything. Dr. Vines & Edina. Techs - Andy, Kenny, Josh, Omar and the other techs I can't remember their names. The place was clean and the staff reasonably friendly. However, overall the place is a holding bin and not therapeutic. A family member was there for a suicide attempt. He could not sleep due to being wakened at night (e.g., for meds that could have been given on time, a new patient going in the room, flashlight in his face by staff), rock-hard pillows, and noise. Moreover, patients are allowed visitors (max of 2) only 45 minutes a day at a set time which often is during the work day. The "therapy" was so elementary as to be useful for him. Recreation was activities like playing with playdoe. The psychiatrist saw him less than 15 minutes the first day, 7 minutes the second day, 2 minutes the 3rd day, and then did not see him at all for 4 days. Yet, despite the fact that he and the staff said the patient was doing well and should likely be released on Monday (one week after admission), the psychiatrist, who had not not seen him (none had) for 4 days wanted to keep the patient 2 more days. This was against the expressed desire of the patient and family, but there were open beds and the patient had more days approved on his insurance if needed. We got him out the next day by threatening to tell he insurance company what was going on. Definitely not a good experience; It was like a prison (e.g., patient could not even get a book from his room when he was forced to sit in a large room with only TV).

Great place! Really helped me with my coping skills. There were a lot of things that I didn't know about myself and my behavior and what I was doing wrong and why. They helped me to look deeper into my life to figure out the person who I became which was the person I didn't want to be anymore. They helped me to try and reinvent myself for the better.

My partner Brett Herron committed suicide with ALL the meds you prescribed him the day he was release Dec 12, 2018. I called many times and pleaded to the charge nurse to not release him yet. This place is shameful and should be shut down. It's been 2 years, 7 months and 1 hour since I found his dead body. You messed up more than just one life forever. You F over 100 people's lives just in the case of Brett Herron.
