LOL I don't know if google reviews have a time limit on how long reviews stay up, but I had reviewed this institution after my stay there. I had willingly decided to go to this place for antidepressants (the hospital recommended them). This place is a dump, filled with staff who know nothing about the medical field or how to treat patients. You will not get the help you're looking for here; I was told that most the time this facility is treated as "drunk tank". Which you will clearly see for yourself if you decide to seek help here, or for a loved one. Find somewhere else. Nice to see that I wasn't the only one who saw how awful this place was. And apparently hasn't changed in the two years since I went. Makes me ponder on how many employees or staff boosted their ratings to get a 3 star rating. Read the comments for yourself, or heck, stop in for a visit and see for yourself.

Been coming here for little over a year now. My wife, almost 3yrs. The staff is there to help you. They aren't going to hold your hand though. You have to do the work and if your not willing to than they have no qualms about kicking you to the curb. You've gotta WANT to get clean. Do the program and take it one day at a time. I've been sober now for 2 solid years. Longest clean time I've ever had.

This is a great clinic, the staff is amazing and so understanding. Great experience, I wouldn't go anywhere else. They changed my life in such a good way, I can't thank them enough. If you need help, this is the place to go. They picked me up at the absolute lowest point of my life and have helped me make a change for the better. Thank you CBI!!!!

The "staff" other than the Dr. are nice and pleasant, the Dr. however, one of the rudest people I have ever met. This place is dirty, the food served in styrofoam for every meal, which are cold, regardless. The groups are stupid, not beneficial at all. This place assumes everyone who gets to inpatient are drug addicts and alcohololics. I went there for med stabilization, not substance abuse issues which seem to be what this place is geared for. Most inpatient people are homeless. The place is filthy dirty. You will sleep in a room with 3 other people and share a bathroom with everyone ( male and female each have their own) yuck. If you have insurance, use it some other place you will be treated better. This place just eats your insurance up, treats you like hearded animals. Last resort for this place. Don't go there otherwise.

I needed a place to get sober and clarity and detox. I was frightened and scared. They gave me the right medication to help me through withdrawals and then sleep. Feeling much after about 36 hours, then released. I’ve been sober since and grateful they were there.

The so-called "doctors" here are sub-par. Almost Everytime I saw "Dr" Arleen Elloway and another old white man "Dr", she didn't have ANY answers to the problems I went there for, didn't read my file to know what was wrong with me before seeing me, and would just refer me somewhere else almost EVERYTIME! and kept pushing other meds on me that I wasn't there to see her about. I started wondering why the hell I was seeing her for if I just had to go see someone else anyway. One day when our session was done she told me to wait there in the room for a guy to come and give me information, and SHE FORGOT I WAS THERE ! I waited in there for half an hour just because I was too hurt to try getting up to see why it was taking so long. She came to bring in another patient to the room and then realized I was still laying down on the table in pain. For over a year I called her "Doctor" and she never corrected me that she was only a NURSE! I even asked her once how long she's been a doctor and she side-stepped my question by asking me what problem I had to see her about. This job must be real easy-money for her...? I posted her photo in this review. Going there to see a doctor was just a waste of time for me. I found more answers by doing Google searches. I'm going to find an ACTUAL PCP [[DOCTOR]] for my future problems!

This place was tragic! I called in because i found them on my insurance site as a psychiatrist who would accept Blue Cross. The lady on the phone was rude and uncaring as I explained my current issue of depression and PTSD and no one would explain exactly what "intake" is so I really had no idea whether I was going to get help or not. I had nowhere else to turn so against my better judgement I went to CBI anyway. When I arrived at the office it was not a very friendly mental health setting, the ladies just rush you through everything rudely, she assumed I was on state insurance and appointment times did not matter. When I went to see the intake worker she changed my mind... she was so sweet, understanding, had been through some of the same trauma and she reassured me that because I carry private insurance I would not have to talk to the therapist via TV. Side Note: How can you help people who have trust issues and have a life centered with trauma via webcam? How impersonal? Anyway, I came back to my scheduled appointment with the doctor and an hour after my appt they called me back to take a drug test? WHAAA. I do not have a drug problem. They told me that most people who need a psychiatrist are drug addicts? (disgusting thought process and unfair) I did their test and back to the waiting room I go. When they came back out to call me for the DR. they sit me in front of a TV with a webcam. I refuse to talk about the terrors of the heart to an empty room. I called CBI feeling I had no one to turn to and I left realizing that I really do not. I do not even matter enough to people to show up when I will pay them too. I will never go back here and am waiting until the new year when more offices starting taking new patients. This experience made me want to cancel my insurance just for giving me CBI's info

My daughter was just at this place do not go here the staff is rude boarded up window very dirty they did nothing for her put her in a recliner all night and now sending her home with no help at all this place should be shut down shame on this place I will be filing a complaint with the state

I just witnessed three slovenly looking employees of CBI chase down a patient in crisis. She came running down the street for help, believing they would kill her. We called the police, and CBI was told this, but 3 staff members stood there invading her personal space, not trying to talk to her, honestly feeding into her paranoia, and then one tried to restrain her and ACTUALLY CHASED HER INTO THE STREET, where after several attempts she successfully flagged down a car, hopped inside and escaped. Whatever her mental situation, surely medical professionals know that chasing a patient into traffic is a bad idea, no? This is the skill with which they treat mental health issues. Be advised.

RUN!! They suck you in by saying theyre a place to run to if you need help....HA!! Went there today looking for some intervention and what did I see? Filth. They take all your property away from you and make everyone wear the same colored uniforms then you sit and wait and wait to talk to a counselor. I was there 4 1/2 hours waiting before I finally left. There were guys there for 24-48 hours waiting to find a treatment "Home".

This particular "mental health" provider is not equipped to deal with the difficulties that this population of consumers deals with. Futhermore, the "stabilization" unit is so vastly non equipped to deal with those whom are needing temporary to more pernament placement due to instability. Those consumers whom deal with being dual-diagnosed both SMI and chemical dependencies are at a particular disadvantage. I would not recommend any component of CBI but particularly the stabilization unit. Granted these types of facilities are becoming fewer and fewer, but if you or anyone you know needs help please avoid like the plaque. I am someone with 30+ years personal experience due to family members.

Most of the Mexicans at this Avondale location are racists. Black people should not go to this place. If you kiss up to the Mexicans they may consider treating you well. They don't really want you deal with black people. Honestly, if you are black, it's best to catch the light rail into Mesa and have Comtrans/crisis take you to a community bridges in Mesa. They will place you some where that is not infested with roaches and bed bugs. The few black folks who work at this site won't help you either. They're well trained in mistreating black people too. They have to; otherwise, they would have a hard time finding employment. There is one white male staff member (a higher up) who deals with clients sometimes, he steals from clients so he needs to be monitored. I have no idea how he calls himself monitoring other people. I'm posting this because I dare him to let someone go through years of videos of the things that happen at this Avondale location. Black people, don't say you haven't been warned. They couldn't be more racist if they posted a sign that said blacks are not welcome.

Allot of people don't know that CBI is now a full service healthcare association. It's known for drug rehab and crisis intervention but they more offer primary care services. These people truly do care.

my son was transport there at night and was not check in by the team he was outside until when ever and was out of his high blood pressure medication was not been helped or check-in just left by com-trans drivers no one knows where he could be, quotes laws will not find my son, below average in communicating with family about their son, poor treatment to my son and to those family members needing to know how he is doing. He had not been eating for about two days or so or more! Out of life threatening medication for a month or more. Taken there very ill. more wanting to the ER but the manager of the group home said it was not an emergency. Why send him to an CBI for his illness there was a UPC down the street.

Do NOT get treatment through Community Bridges Inc (CBI) if you are a low to no income white (which includes Irish/Jewish/German/Vietnamese/Japanese, et al), especially if you are 'vulnerable'. More specifically, single, homeless and/or elderly/disabled/handicapped/dying. CBI has police department employees on their board of directors who cover for minority sex offenders who come from the homeless shelters/campus and use CBI facilities to find whites to falsely allege behind their backs are suspected of molesting/planning to molest minority children to divert from the minority sex offenders molesting their own children. CBI will get everyone involved to collect personal information on you including where you shop and when you shower, and falsely imply to everyone that this information is necessary to get evidence you are a pedophile/supremacist/disability fraud, however, it's the same information a stalker rapist uses to stalk and rape, and doesn't prove you are anything but a low to no income/vulnerable white who is being stalked and will be raped at the first opportunity.

Was there twice. Left twice. Not lot of space. Scarce staff.Never got placed with them.1st time I tried to check out the worker majically found a place for me(eventhoug. Never discussed that with anyone) Not the best place for people with mental problems. They do feed you 3meals/scrubs/shower/blankets/chair to sleep in. They will help transport you through. Comtrans Never got to see a doctor while there They do monitor blood pressure like the other offices Never saw anyone issue meds like the mesa branch does. Kind of skeleton crew 1tv Pb&j and cheese sandwiches like the other facilities. 1 case worker

My bone is to pick with a woman named Amanda Bryant Cowart. I don't know where she got her traini g from, but kacks empathy and patients. My son has very high blood pressure especially for his age. During recovering, he was treated with pure disrespect. This woman is vile and pretentious, and should be removed from the facility immediatly. I feel bad for anyone having to put up with people like her.
